My history with Little Movers and Shakers
I was recommended to go to a Little Movers Class with my son when he was a baby. I had gone to a lot of groups with him as I wanted to get out the house and meet new parents whilst finding something for my son to do thats was entertaining, stimulating and encouraged his development.
What I loved about the groups were that there was so many things for my son to do. He had a very short attention span so holding his concentration was difficult at times. But Little Movers and Shakers had songs with actions and props, messy play sessions and crafting sessions.
Nelly the teacher and founder was lovely and got little ones excited and interested in all the activities and was very friendly and always ready to help and give advice if needed. My son really took to her and it was lovely to see.
What made me consider buying a franchise
I have always worked with children and young adults throughout my career and have amazing experiences and learned so much through my time. I have worked in nurseries, mainstream schools and special needs schools. It has allowed me to gain a lot of teaching styles and show me that each child develops in the own time and own way.
As much as I have loved my time in nurseries and schools, I always dreamed of running my own business was able to keep in contact with Nelly over the years even when my son had left the group to go to nursery. I took my friends little one to her classes and just mentioned that I have always wanted to have my own baby/toddler group and that if she ever wanted to franchise it out I would love the opportunity. Amazingly she said yes and it has been an amazing journey.
My experience with the franchise
My experience with having a Little Movers and Shakers Franchise has been amazing. I have learnt so much about running my own business and have had so much fun whilst doing it.
Watching my franchise grow from the very beginning has allowed me to experience what building a business from the ground up is like. I have had so much support from the founder of Little Movers and Shakers Nelly, who has been with me every step of the way. I have enjoyed watching the children grow and reach lots of their stages of development and see them grow in confidence each time I see them.
