Who we are
These are the terms and conditions on which our area teacher is licensed to provide Little Movers and Shakers classes and supply their services to you. All parents/ guardians are expected to read and follow the terms and conditions set out below.
Please note that we are not the provider of the classes, and your contract is between you and your local school’s teacher. If you have any concerns, please contact your teacher first. However you are welcome to contact the main office, if you think that your teacher did not solve the situation.
Most groups run sessions that last for up to 1 hour. There is no requirement to register with Ofsted as parents and carers are responsible for supervising their children at all times.
What do we do?
Little Movers and Shakers is known as parent and baby/ toddler classes, and cater for a wide range of parents and carers, including grandparents, childminders and nannies.
They provide an opportunity to meet new people and to enjoy play/educational activities in a safe, informal and friendly atmosphere, and help to support children’s transition to the Early Years Foundation Stage when they start pre-school, nursery, or Reception class.
These are weekly educational classes, that do sensory, interactive and music activities for children up to 4 years, including all abilities and special needs.
We also do art and craft activities, as well as messy play. Classes are divided into different age and ability groups. If you think that your child needs to change age group earlier or later, please discuss it with your class teacher.
Our classes are aiming to help and encourage your child’s physical, confidence, social and academic development, to help with transition for Preschool or nursery, learn basic maths and English skills, sharing, taking turns, learn nursery rhymes. We run the sessions half termly, depending on local schools’ terms.

DISCLOSURES OF YOUR PERSONAL DATA
We may have to share your personal data with the parties set out below:
supervision and mobile phones
These activities require parents’ or guardians’ full involvement and you must supervise your children all the time for a class to go smoothly. If you need to go to the toilet, please ask the teacher or another parent to look after your little one. Please do not use your mobile phone during the session, unless in an emergency. Parents can only take their phone out if they need to take a picture of their own child (Please read photo permission below).
Food, snack time, messy play
Our classes provide a small snack (biscuit) for children and a hot drink for parents after the class. Please inform the teacher if your child has any allergies. We are a nuts free school. Most of the time teacher should just fill the plate with snacks and it is up to parents whether to allow their child a snack. Parents are allowed to bring their own snack, but we do not take responsibility for any sickness or intolerance after. During the Christmas party we have a banquet of the food collected from the parents, however we still follow government guidance following food safety for the specific age group.
Overall
Before we started to run our classes and all the way through, we take account of legislation such as health and safety, fire regulations, food hygiene requirements, data protection and the Equality Act. Groups often run in local venues such as church halls, scout huts, community centres or clinics. Whatever the venue, there must be enough space available for storing items such as buggies and pushchairs, accessible toilets and kitchen facilities, as well as the security of the premises.
